Prayer

Prayer

Prayer is an important part of our school day. We provide discrete opportunities as part of our daily learning (e.g. in collective worship, at lunchtime and at the end of the school day) as well as quiet opportunities for independent prayer and reflection.

Whilst we have prayer stations within our school, we highlight the fact that prayer can take place any place, at any time. Our prayer station is an integral part of our school life and is accessible by anyone, at any time of the day.

Prayer requests can also be submitted through our Braddock Box.

We recognise the importance of Progression in Prayer, this can be found below.

The Lords Prayer

The Lords Prayer is the prayer that Jesus taught his disciples, when they asked him how they should pray.

As a Trust we have decided to teach our pupils the traditional version.

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name;

thy kingdom come;

thy will be done;

on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation;

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom,

the power and the glory,

for ever and ever.

Amen.
